私たちの思い/Our Vision
「神保町の夜からはじめる」プロジェクトは、ただの地域活性化ではありません。これは、日本の出版文化の中心地、神保町から始まる社会的挑戦です。私たちは、神保町の豊かな文化資源を最大限に活かし、「学び」「仕事」「遊び」が融合する、未来の都市モデルをここで創り上げます。コロナ禍を経て変わる時代にふさわしい、夜の賑わいを通じて、人々が集い、知識を共有し、新しい文化を生み出す場所を目指します。
本を愛し、学びを求める人々にとって、この街は「知を集め創造する広場」となるでしょう。古書店、出版業界、大学が一体となり、国内外の知識人やクリエイターが集まる場所に神保町を変革します。2024年、私たちはこの夢を実現させるために、本格的なプロジェクトを開始しました。ここから、日本全体、そして世界に向けて、文化資源を活用した新しい都市の在り方を発信します。
The “Starting with Jimbocho Night” project is not just about revitalizing the area. It is a social challenge that starts from Jimbocho, the center of publishing culture in Japan. We will make the most of Jimbocho’s rich cultural resources to create a future urban model here where “learning,” “work,” and “play” come together. We aim to create a place where people can gather, share knowledge, and create new culture through the bustle of the night, appropriate for the changing times after the COVID-19 pandemic.
For people who love books and seek to learn, this town will become a “square for gathering and creating knowledge.” Secondhand bookstores, the publishing industry, and universities will come together to transform Jimbocho into a place where intellectuals and creators from Japan and abroad can gather. In 2024, we began a full-scale project to make this dream a reality. From here, we will disseminate a new way of building cities that utilize cultural resources to the whole of Japan and the world.
